Let \(G\) be an analytic Lie group modelled on a locally convex space and \((\pi,\mathcal{H})\) be a unitary representation of \(G\). A vector \(v\in H\) is called smooth or analytic if the corresponding orbit map \(\pi^v:G\to \mathcal{H}\), \(g\mapsto \pi(g)v\), is smooth or analytic, respectively. The present paper studies the following two aspects of analytic vectors for a \(1\)-connected Lie group \(G\) with corresponding Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}\): {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[1.] Given a \(*\)-representation \(\rho\) of \(\mathfrak{g}\) on a pre-Hilbert space \(\mathcal{D}\), the author asks under which condition there is a continuous representation \(G\) on the completion of \(\mathcal{D}\) which ``extends'' \(\rho\) in the natural way and such that all vectors in \(\mathcal{D}\) are smooth. In the paper under review the author gives some criteria based on a rich supply of analytic vectors. \item[2.] Which linear functionals on the universal enveloping algebra of \(\mathfrak{g}\) are \textit{integrable} in the sense that there is a continuous representation of \(G\) on some \(\mathcal{H}\) and a smooth vector in \(\mathcal{H}\) such that the functional is given in the natural way in terms of the action on this smooth vector? Here the author defines the concept of analytic functional and shows that every positive analytic functional is integrable. \end{itemize}} As a consequence the author derives that every local positive definite analytic function on a simply connected Fréchet-BCH-Lie group extends to a global analytic function.
