The authors study stability and accuracy at grid interfaces for the Schrödinger equation using the summation-by-parts-simultaneous approximation term method. They construct penalty parameters which lead to stable nonconforming grid interfaces in arbitrary many dimensions. Numerical experiments with an adaptive grid configuration are compared to simulations on a uniform grid.
