The paper under review establishes a step towards the Kudla-Rapoport conjecture for Shimura varieties for \(\mathrm{GU}(1,n-1)\) which forms a crucial ingredient for the proof in case \(n=3\) [J. Reine Angew. Math. 684, 113-164 (2013; Zbl 1371.11105)]. The conjecture concerns intersection multiplicities of special cycles. The author proves that the difference divisor associated to a special cycle is regular in any dimension.
