The author proves an interesting analogue of Aleksandrov's theorem for a class of warped product manifolds. He considers the manifold \(M=N\times [0,\overline{r})\) equipped with the Riemannian metric \(g=dr \otimes dr +h(r)^2g_N\), where \(N\) is an \((n-1)\)-dimensional compact manifold, \(n\geq 3\), such that \(\text{Ric}_N \geq (n-2) \rho g_N\), and \(h: [0,\overline{r})\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is a smooth positive function satisfying four sufficiently reasonable conditions denoted by \((H_1)-(H_4)\). The main result of this paper is the following (Theorem 1.1): If \((M,g)\) is a warped product manifold satisfying conditions \((H_1)-(H_3)\), and \(\Sigma\) is a closed, orientable hypersurface in \((M,g)\) with constant mean curvature, then \(\Sigma\) is umbilic. If, in addition, the condition \((H_4)\) holds, then \(\Sigma\) is a slice \(N\times \{r\}\), for some \(r\in (0,\overline{r})\). In particular, the result applies to the de Sitter-Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordström manifolds.
