The authors study singular equivalences of Morita type. It is proved that under certain conditions, such an equivalence gives rise to a bi-adjoint pair. The Hochschild homology of a finite-dimensional algebra over a field and in strictly positive degrees is showed to be invariant under a singular equivalence of Morita type.
