Spectral large sieve inequalities for Hecke congruence subgroups of \(\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z}[i])\) (Q401999): Difference between revisions

Let \(\Gamma=\Gamma_{0}(q_0)\) be any Hecke congruence subgroup of \(\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{Z}[i])\) where \(q_0\) is a non-zero element of the ring of the Gaussian integers \(\mathbb{Z}[i]\). The article under review deals with some new upper bounds for sums involving Fourier coefficients of \(\Gamma\)-automorphic cusp forms on \(\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{C})\). The article is an improvement of earlier results which are given in [Sum formula for \(\mathrm{SL}_2\) over imaginary quadratic number fields. Utrecht: University of Utrecht (PhD Thesis) (2004)] of \textit{H. Lokvenec-Guleska}. In the earlier result, a spectral-Kloosterman formula for \(\Gamma \backslash \mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{C})\) is considered only for the cusp \(\mathfrak{c}=\infty\). But this article also includes the cases where cusps \(\mathfrak{c}\) of \(\Gamma\) which are not limited to the case \(\mathfrak{c}=\infty\). The article is written with a lot of care.
