The classical Ising model on a finite domain \(\Lambda_L:=[-L,L]^2\subset\mathbb Z^2\) with \(+\) boundary condition and with external field \(h\geq 0\) is a probability measure \(P_L^{\beta,h,+}\) on \(\{-1,1\}^{\Lambda_L}\) defined by \[ P_L^{\beta,h,+}[\sigma]:=\frac{1}{Z_{L,\beta,h}}e^{-\beta E_L(\sigma)+hM(\sigma)}, \] where \(E_L(\sigma)\) is the interaction energy, \(M_L(\sigma)\) is the total magnetization in \(\Lambda_L\) and \(Z_{L,\beta,h}=\sum_\sigma e^{-\beta E_L(\sigma)+hM(\sigma)}.\) The authors prove that for the Ising model defined on the plane \(\mathbb Z^2\) at \(\beta=\beta_c\), the average magnetization under an external magnetic field \(h>0\) behaves exactly like \[ \langle \sigma_0 \rangle _{\beta_c,h}\asymp h^{\frac{1}{15}}, \] where \(\langle \cdot \rangle_{\beta,h}\) denotes the expectation with respect to \(P_{\mathbb Z^2}^{\beta,h,+}\).
