Let \(\mathcal{G}\) be a symplectic orbifold of dimension \(2n\). The Gromov-Witten invariants of \(\mathcal{G}\) intuitively count the number of pseudoholomorphic curves intersecting given homology classes of \(\mathcal{G}\). More specifically, they are defined as the integrals of certain cohomology classes over a canonical virtual cycle on a specified part of the moduli space of pseudo-holomorphic curves of a given genus and degree, with a given number of marked points. The weighted blowup \(\tilde{\mathcal{G}}\) of \(\mathcal{G}\) at a smooth point is obtained from \(\mathcal{G}\) be applying symplectic cutting with the Hamiltonian function \( H(z) := \sum_{j=1}^n m_j | z_j|^2 - k \) where \(z = (z_1, \dots, z_n)\) denotes a system of uniformising local Darboux coordinates near the given smooth point, \(m_j\in \mathbb Z_{\geq 0}\), and \(k>0\). The action by the circle \(\mathbb T\) on \(H^{-1}(0)\) used in the symplectic cutting construction is given by \(\lambda \cdot z := (\lambda^{m_1}z_1, \dots, \lambda^{m_n}z_n), \) for \(\lambda \in \mathbb T\). In the manifold case, a relation between the Gromov-Witten invariants of \(\mathcal{G}\) and \(\tilde{\mathcal{G}}\) was obtained in [\textit{J. Hu}, Math. Z. 233, No. 4, 709--739 (2000; Zbl 0948.53046)]. In this paper, the authors obtain similar results for orbifolds. They hold under the assumption that either \(1\leq n \leq 3\), or the genus of the pseudo-holomorphic curves used is at most 1, and \(n\geq 2\).
