This article deals with the so-called Coman conjecture which predicts the equality between the Lempert function with several poles of various weights and the pluricomplex Green function with the same set of poles and the same weights. If there is just one pole and the domain is convex this follows from the celebrated Lempert theorem. If there are several poles there are some known counterexamples, even for a domain as simple as the product of two disks. Actually there are several positive and several negative results concerning Coman's conjecture. Some of them are also reviewed in this paper. The main contribution here is that, on the bidisk, Coman's conjecture holds if there are only two poles (and not necessarily equal weights).
