Let \(\Omega\subset\mathbb C^n\) be a domain and let \(S:=\{(a_1,\nu_1),\dots, (a_N,\nu_N)\}\subset\Omega\times(0,+\infty)\). For \(z\in\Omega\) put \(G_\Omega(S,z):=\sup\{u(z): u\in\mathcal{PSH}(\Omega,[-\infty,0))\), \(\exists_{C_j}:\; u(x)\leq \nu_j\log\| x-a_j\| +C_j\), \(x\in\Omega\), \(j=1,\dots, N\}\) (\(G_\Omega\) is the pluricomplex Green function), \(L_\Omega(S,z):= \inf\{\sum_{j=1}^N\nu_j\log| \zeta_j|: \exists_{\varphi\in\mathcal O(\mathbb D,\Omega)}:\varphi(0)=z\), \(\varphi(\zeta_j)= a_j\), \(j=1,\dots,N\}\) (\(L_\Omega\) is the generalized Lempert function). It is well known that if \(\Omega\) is convex and \(N=1\), then \(G_\Omega(S,\cdot)\equiv L_\Omega(S,\cdot)\). \textit{D. Coman} proved in [Pac. J. Math. 194, 257--283 (2000; Zbl 1015.32029)] that \(G_{\mathbb B_2}(S,\cdot) \equiv L_{\mathbb B_2}(S,\cdot)\) in the case where \(\Omega=\mathbb B_2\) is the unit Euclidean ball in \(\mathbb C^2\), \(N=2\), and \(\nu_1=\nu_2\). He also conjectured that \(G_\Omega(S,\cdot)\equiv L_\Omega(S,\cdot)\) for any convex domain with arbitrary \(S\). The first counterexample was given by \textit{M. Carlehed} and \textit{J. Wiegerinck} in [Ann. Pol. Math. 80, 93--108 (2003; Zbl 1026.32066)] with \(\Omega=\mathbb D^2\), \(N=2\), \(a_1, a_2\in\mathbb D\times\{0\}\), \(\nu_1=2\), \(\nu_2=1\). The authors present a counterexample with \(\Omega=\mathbb D^2\), \(N=4\), \(\{a_1,\dots,a_4\}=\{-a,a\}\times\{0,\varepsilon\}\), \(\nu_1=\dots=\nu_4=1\). They show that for every \(a\in\mathbb D\setminus\{0\}\) and \(| a| ^{3/2}<| \gamma| <| a| \), if \(S_\varepsilon:=\{((-a,0),1),((a,0),1), ((-a,\varepsilon),1),((a,\varepsilon),1)\}\), then for sufficiently small \(| \varepsilon| \) we have \(G_{\mathbb D^2}(S_\varepsilon,(0,\gamma))< L_{\mathbb D^2}(S_\varepsilon,(0,\gamma))\). A generalization of this counterexample may be found in the paper by \textit{Nguyen Quang Dieu} and \textit{Nguyen Van Trao} in [Complex Variables, Theory Appl. 48, No. 8, 681--694 (2003; Zbl 1040.32029)].
