The goal of this paper is to study the general solution of the following general radical quintic functional equation \[ f\left(\sqrt[5]{ax^5 + by^5}\right) = rf (x) + sf (y), \] where \(f\) is a mapping from the field of real numbers into a vector space and \(a, b, r, s\) are fixed nonzero reals. After that, the authors prove hyperstability results for the above functional equation by using a fixed point theorem in quasi-\(\beta\)-Banach spaces (see Theorem 2.1 in [\textit{Nguyen Van Dung} and \textit{Vo Thi Le Hang}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 462, No. 1, 131--147 (2018; Zbl 1391.39033)]).
