In this paper, the authors evaluate Mahler measures of some Laurent polynomials of the form \[P_{a,c}(x,y)=a\Big(x+\frac{1}{x}\Big)+y+\frac{1}{y}+c\] in terms of Mahler measure of \[Q_k(x,y)=(1+x)(1+y)(x+y)-kxy.\] In Theorem 1, for \(a \geq 1\) and \(a=\sqrt{-r}\), \(r>0\), they prove the identity \[\frac{3}{2}m(P_{a,a^2-1})=m(Q_{a^2-1})+\log |a|.\] As a corollary they obtain the values of \(m(P_{\sqrt{8},7})\), \(m(P_{\sqrt{5},4})\), etc. In Theorem 2, they also find that the value of \(m(P_{2,3})\) is equal to \(\frac{2}{3}(L'(E_2,0)+\log 2)\).
