In order to study classes of multilinear operators, the author introduces a new framework based on the notion of multi-ideals derived from the geometrical approach of \(\Sigma \)-operators and the notion of tensor norms. By this tool, the theory of multi-ideals is recovered as particular case. As an example (or application), the well-known class of \((p,q)\)-dominated multilinear operators is fit in this framework.
