    The Sobolev type inequalities \(S(\int_{\Omega}|u|^q \, dx )^{1/q} \leq (\int_{\Omega}|\nabla u|^p \, dx )^{1/p}\) for functions \(u \in W^{1,p}_0(\Omega)\) are well known in smooth domains \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n\) in the range \(1 <q \leq p^*\) where \(p^*\) is the Sobolev exponent associated with \(p\). The range \(p > n\) leads to the so called Morrey's inequalities. For the range \(0 < q < 1\) see [\textit{G. Anello} et al., Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. (4) 194, No. 3, 767--779 (2015; Zbl 1321.35056)]. To determine the best possible constant for the Sobolev inequality usually leads to a singular partial differential equation of \(p\)-Laplace type and in many cases the best constants \(S\) are known. For \(0 < q < 1\) the Sobolev inequality is studied in a special weighted case \(w^{-s} \in L^1(\Omega)\) assuming that \(w\) belongs to the Muckenhoupt class \(A_p\). For \(0 < \delta < 1\), \(1<p < \infty\) and \(f \in L^{m_{\delta}} \setminus \{0\}\) it is shown that for every \(v\) in the weighted Sobolev space \(W^{1,p}_0(\Omega,w)\) it holds \(C(\int_{\Omega} |v|^{1-\delta} f \, dx )^{p/(1-\delta)} \leq \| v \|_{W^{1,p}_0(\Omega,w)}^p\) whenever \(C \leq \nu(\Omega)\). Here \(\nu(\Omega)\) is a solution of a variational problem as in the case of the classical Sobolev inequality and \(m_{\delta}\) depends in an explicit way on \(p\), \(s\) and \(\delta\). A similar Sobolev type inequality \(C(\int_{\Omega} |v|^{1-\delta} f \, dx )^{p/(1-\delta)} \leq \| v \|_{W^{1,p}_0(\Omega)}^p\) is obtained for functions \(v\) in the unweighted space \(W^{1,p}_0(\Omega)\), \( 2 \leq p < \infty\), in the case \(0 < \delta < 1\), and \(f \in L^{m_{\delta}}(\Omega) \setminus \{0\}\) under similar restrictions for \(m_{\delta}\).
