Recall that a \emph{net} in a metric space is a subset which is \(a\)-dense and \(b\)-discrete form some \(a,b>0\). The authors obtain a partial positive answer to a famous open problem by N. Kalton of whether for every net \(N\) in a separable Banach space \(X\), the Lipschitz-free space \(\mathcal{F}(N)\) has BAP. Namely, some of the main outcomes contained in this paper are the following. {Section 2}: If \(N\) is a net in a finite-dimensional Banach space, then the Lipschitz-free space \(\mathcal{F}(N)\) has a Schauder basis with constant not depending on the dimension. {Section 3}: If \(X\) is a Banach space with a Schauder basis containing an isomorphic copy of \(c_0\) and \(N\subset X\) is a net in this Banach space, then \(\mathcal{F}(N)\) has a Schauder basis. The result is actually a bit more general, but too technical to be mentioned here in its full strength. The Schauder basis comes from a suitable system of retractions which are constructed using a discretization of the idea from the recent preprint by the authors [``Compact retractions and Schauder decompositions in Banach spaces'', Preprint (2021), \url{arXiv:2106.00331}], where a generating convex compact Lipschitz retract of any Banach space with FDD was constructed. By [\textit{S.~J. Dilworth} et al., Found. Comput. Math. 8, 703--736 (2008; Zbl 1178.46009)], this construction may be applied, e.g., to the case mentioned above, that is, to Banach spaces with a Schauder basis containing an isomorphic copy of~\(c_0\).
