On the nonlinear stability of the triangular points in the circular spatial restricted three-body problem (Q1987315): Difference between revisions

The authors revisit the well-known problem of the nonlinear stability of the points $L_4$ and $L_5$ in the circular spatial restricted three-body problem. First they establish the Lie stability of the points $L_4$ and $L_5$ in terms of mass parameter. Then they provide asymptotic bounds for the Lie stable cases and asymptotic estimates for three specific values of the mass ratio that were uncovered. Finally, some comparisons with previous results are discussed. Three tables summarizing the results are given at the end of the paper.
