The authors consider the nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the line, with an attractive delta potential, \[ i\partial_t u= Hu+f(u), \quad H = -\frac{1}{2}\partial_x +q\delta_0,\ q<0, \quad f(u)=\sigma |u|^p u, \] for \(\sigma\in \{\pm 1\}\) and \(p>4\) (mass-supercritical case). They prove asymptotic stability for all solitary waves satisfying a suitable spectral condition, namely, that the linearized operator around the solitary wave has a two-dimensional generalized kernel and no other eigenvalues or resonances. Cases where this condition is satisfied are conjectured, and the conjecture is supported by variation arguments, including numerical simulations. The core of the paper consists of a thorough spectral analysis of the linearized operator, depending on whether the nonlinearity is focusing (\(\sigma=-1\)) or defocusing (\(\sigma=+1\)), and of the proof of fine dispersive estimates, which allow to control modulation parameters thanks to a bootstrap argument. The paper is well referenced, clearly written and pleasant to read.
