This paper proves quantitative shrinking target results for rotations and interval exchange transformations (IETs). To extend their findings on rotations to IETs, the authors obtain a quantitative version of a criterion for unique ergodicity of \textit{M. D. Boshernitzan} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 12, No. 3, 425--428 (1992; Zbl 0756.58030)]. Quantitative equidistribution theorems for IETs and flows were also found by \textit{A. Zorich} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 17, No. 6, 1477--1499 (1997; Zbl 0958.37002)], \textit{G. Forni} [Ann. Math. (2) 155, No. 1, 1--103 (2002; Zbl 1034.37003)], and \textit{J. S. Athreya} and \textit{G. Forni} [Duke Math. J. 144, No. 2, 285--319 (2008; Zbl 1153.37001)].
