The author studies the three different metrics of hyperbolic type on bounded fractals with Dirichlet boundary condition. All these metrics are closely related to each other and can be used to derive Harnack inequalities, estimate Green's functions and to study the local behaviour and energy of harmonic functions. All metrics rely on the energy (Dirichlet form) of the Laplacian. The arguments and metrics are accessible on finitely ramified fractals possessing a regular harmonic structure in the sense of \textit{J. Kigami} [Analysis on fractals, Cambridge Tracts 143 (2001; Zbl 0998.28004)].
