For a convex body \(K\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), the \(n-1\) dimensional volume of \(K\) projecting to the hyperplane that passing through the origin determines an origin-symmetric convex body in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) which is named the projection body of \(K\) and denoted by \(\Pi K\). Projection body is an important object in convex geometry and the basic inequality involving it is Petty's projection inequality. \textit{G. Zhang} [J. Differ. Geom. 53, No. 1, 183--202 (1999; Zbl 1040.53089)] established the generalized Petty projection inequality and proved an affine Sobolev inequality that is equivalent to the generalized Petty projection inequality. Subsequently, the projection body has extended to the \(L_p\) case and Orlicz case in [J. Differ. Geom. 56, No. 1, 111--132 (2000; Zbl 1034.52009); Adv. Math. 223, No. 1, 220--242 (2010; Zbl 1437.52006)] by \textit{E. Lutwak} et al., respectively. In the present paper the authors define the mixed \(L_p\) surface area measures in a suitable way and further define the mixed \(L_p\) projection bodies which contain the \(L_p\) projection bodies. Some basic inequalities related the mixed \(L_p\) projection bodies are showed.
