The authors study topological conjugacies of a class of singular functions via alternate representation systems. They start by providing a geometric construction of singular Cantor-like functions and characterize those as being the unique solution of a system of functional equations. As a matter of fact, this geometric construction is well-known in the area of fractal geometry in particular in fractal interpolation theory where these types of functional equations have been exhaustively studied. It seems that the authors are not aware of these studies. Furthermore, the authors introduce topological conjugacy functions as the solution of a commutative diagram. These functions turn out to be in almost every case singular. Moreover, alternative representations of such functions are then introduced and investigated.
