A foliation of a Riemannian submanifold is called isoparametric if its regular leaves have constant mean curvature. Foliations have been shown to be useful in constructing explicit examples in many problems of analysis, geometry and algebra, such as entire solutions to the minimal surface equation, exotic smooth structures, viscosity solutions to fully nonlinear elliptic PDEs, to name a few. In the present paper, the author shows how to use isoparametric polynomials to produce diverse examples of \(p\)-harmonic and biharmonic functions. Remarkably, for some distinguished values of \(p\) and the ambient dimension \(n\), this yields the first examples of rational and algebraic \(p\)-harmonic functions.
