Let \(\rho: G\to O(V)\) be a real finite dimensional orthogonal representation of a compact Lie group. Let \(\delta_1, \ldots, \delta_n\) be a minimal system of homogeneous generators of the \(G\)-invariant polynomials on \(V\) and \(d=\max\{\deg(\delta_i)\mid i=1, \ldots, n\}\). Let \(\delta=(\delta_1, \ldots, \delta_n):V\to\mathbb{R}^n\) be the orbit map defined by \(\delta_1, \ldots, \delta_n\). It is proved that for any \(C^{d-1,1}\)-curve \(C\subseteq \delta(V)\subseteq\mathbb{R}^n\) there exists a locally Lipschitz curve \(\overline{C}\subseteq V\) lifting \(C\). Explicit bounds for the Lipschitz constant of \(\overline{C}\) in terms of \(C\) are given.
