Rough metrics on manifolds and quadratic estimates (Q303823): Difference between revisions

For investigating the persistence of quadratic estimates related to the Kato square root problem, the author introduces a class of the so-called ``rough'' metrics on smooth manifolds that are Riemannian-like but may have low regularity of even be degenerate on sets of measure zero. The invariance of the Kato square root problem under Lipschitz transformations is demonstrated and solutions to this problem on functions and forms on compact manifolds with rough metrics are obtained.
