The present paper deals with an \(n\)-th order nonautonomous ordinary differential equation and investigates the problem of the existence of a periodic solution with a prescribed period \(\omega\). Some more general sufficient conditions are established guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of an \(\omega\)-periodic solution of a linear and a nonlinear ordinary differential equation with \(\omega\)-periodic coefficients.
