The authors manage to extend the maximum principle to viscosity solutions for fully nonlinear elliptic and parabolic problems. In turn, this enables them to prove radial symmetry of solutions by the moving plane method. Non-existence results for radial solutions, together with the presently proved symmetry, imply Liouville-type theorems for non-existence of nontrivial solutions.
