The authors consider \(\mathcal{C}^*\), the set of map germs of generic cuspidal edges \((\mathbb R^2,0)\rightarrow (\mathbb R^3,0)\). The main result of the paper is contained in Theorem A : Let \(\kappa_s(t)\) be the singular curvature function along the singular curve \(\gamma(t)\) of \(f\in \mathcal{C}^*\) such that \(\gamma(0)=0\). Let \(\sigma(t)\) be a real analytic regular space curve whose curvature function \(\tilde{\kappa}(t)\) satisfies \(\tilde{\kappa}(t)>|\kappa_s(t)|\) for all sufficiently small \(t\). Then there exist at most two map germs \(g\in \mathcal{C}^*\) such that: (1) the first fundamental form of \(g\) coincides with that of \(f\), in particular, the singular curve \(\gamma(t)\) in the domain of \(f\) is the same as that of \(g\); (2) \(g(\gamma(t))=\sigma(t)\) holds for each \(t\).
