This is a highly technical paper in the realm of strong homology theory as it pertains to compact Hausdorff spaces. We first reproduce the abstract from this paper and then we give a brief commentary. Here is the abstract: ``In this paper we generalize the Mardešić-Prasolov Structure Theorem for strong homology \(\overline H_m(X;G)\) of compact Hausdorff spaces \(X\) to the theorem which connects strong homology \(\overline H_m (\varprojlim_\lambda X_\lambda;G)\) of the inverse limit of compact Hausdorff spaces \(X_\lambda\) with strong homology \(\overline H_m (X_\lambda;G)\), Čech homology \(\check H_m (X_\lambda;G)\) and Čech cohomology \(\check H^m (X_\lambda)\).'' \textit{S. Mardešić} and \textit{A. V. Prasolov} [Topology Appl. 82, No. 1-3, 327-354 (1998; Zbl 0897.55002)] proved the ``First Structure Theorem'' for the strong homology group \(\overline H_m(X;G)\) for compact Hausdorff spaces. Continuing in this direction, this paper establishes an elegant ``Second Structure Theorem'' by producing a filtration of the strong homology group \(\overline H_m(X;G)\). This filtration uses Čech homology and cohomology groups and homology of inverse limits of compact Hausdorff spaces as indicated in the abstract above. This paper represents a masterful demonstration of the application of homological algebra.
