By introducing a novel quasi-local extension of the difference ring, the authors find new necessary integrability conditions for evolutionary differential-difference equations of arbitrary order. Specifically they consider the classification problem of integrable equations for anti-symmetric quasi-linear equations of order \((-3,3)\). The method developed in this paper is a fundamental result in soliton theory, especially in the context of differential-difference equations.
