In a broad sense, the study of rigidity of stratified nilpotent Lie groups has attracted much attention in recent years and it has been dealt by several authors. If \(\{X_i, Y_k\}\) denotes a fixed basis of the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak n\) of a connected and simply connected nilpotent Lie group \(N\) of step two, the author proves in this paper, under a technical assumption on \(\{X_i, Y_k\}\), that the Lie algebra \(\mathcal M\) of vector fields \(V\) on \(N\) that satisfy \([V, X_i]=\lambda _i X_i \) is finite dimensional, a property that she refers to as rigidity. The strategy to prove rigidity is to introduce a connection on a vector bundle in such a way that finding a solution to the multicontact system is equivalent to finding a covariant constant section of the bundle. Finally, the author deals with the dimension of Hessenberg algebra \({\mathfrak n}^{(2)}\) associated to \(\mathfrak{sl}(n,\mathbb R)\) and she shows that the dimension of the Lie algebra \(\mathcal M\) of multicontact vector fields is \(9\) if \(n = 4\) and \(3n-4\) if \(n \geq 4\).
