In this paper, the authors give sharp extension results for convoluted solutions of abstract Cauchy problems in Banach spaces. The main technique is the use of the algebraic structure of these solutions which are defined by a version of the Duhamel formula. The authors introduce a new class of test functions and define algebra homomorphisms from them. In this way, they apply their interesting results to concrete operators. In order to extend previous concepts of distribution semigroups, they introduce a new notion of \(k\)-distribution semigroups.
