The article is a continuation of the authors' works \textit{G.~A.~Rudykh} and \textit{Eh.~I.~Semenov} [Sib. Math. J. 38, No. 5, 978-987 (1997; Zbl 0880.35054), Comput. Math. Math. Phys. 38, No. 6, 930-936 (1998; Zbl 0957.35031)]. The present article is devoted to the construction of explicit exact non-self-similar nonnegative solutions, anisotropic with respect to the space variables, of the multidimensional nonlinear diffusion equation \[ u_t = \nabla\cdot (u^{\lambda}\nabla u),\qquad u = u(\mathbf x,t) : \Omega\times\mathbb R^+\to\mathbb R^+,\quad \mathbf x\in\mathbb R^n, \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb R^n\) is a region, \(\mathbb R^+ = (0,\infty)\), \(u(\mathbf x,t)\geq 0\) is the temperature of the medium, and \(\lambda\in\mathbb R\) is a parameter of the nonlinear medium. The aim of the article under review is to suggest an original construction of the exact nonnegative solution to the above-mentioned equation. As a result, the authors obtain a system of algebro-differential equations in which the number of equations exceeds the number of unknown functions. It is proved that the resulting system possesses nontrivial solutions. On the basis of this result, it is shown that the construction under study makes it possible to obtain exact nonnegative solutions both of a porous medium equation corresponding to \(\lambda > 0\) and of equations involving nonlinear conductivity with the nonnegative exponent \(\lambda\).
