The author develops an abstract theory on the existence, uniqueness, regularity and continuous dependence of solutions on prescribed data for time-fractional evolution equations which are governed by subdifferential operators in Hilbert spaces. In the proof of the main results he uses a regularization argument based on the maximal monotonicity of time-fractional operators, and some energy estimates based on a nonlocal chain-rule formula for subdifferentials. By using a classical contraction argument, the author also studies a Lipschitz perturbation problem for time-fractional evolution equations. Applications of the obtained results to time-fractional \(p\)-Laplace parabolic equations, time-fractional porous medium and fast diffusion equations, and time-fractional Allen-Cahn equations are finally addressed.
