The author considers a specific example of one-dimensional spin systems for which he analyzes the zero-temperature limit. It is shown that the Gibbs measure at temperature \(T\) converges as the \(T\) goes to zero to a entropy maximizing measure (ground-state) which is concentrated on the two flattest minima of the potential.
