This paper is concerned with the problem of existence and uniqueness of monotone wavefronts for the equation \[ u_t (t,x)=\Delta u(t,x)+u(t,x)(1-u(t-h,x)), \quad u\geq 0,\;x\in\mathbb R^m. \] Motivated by the paper by \textit{J. Wu} and \textit{X. Zou} [J. Dyn. Differ. Equations 13, No.~3, 651--687 (2001; Zbl 0996.34053)], the authors prove the existence and uniqueness of monotone waves for the above problem. More precisely, using appropriate monotone integral operators, which are different from the ones considered by J. Wu and X. Zou, and the upper-lower solutions technique, the authors prove that each monotone traveling wave can be obtained as a limit of an iterative procedure.
