Assume that \(d\geq 1\), \(\alpha=(\alpha_1,...,\alpha_d)\in (-1,\infty)^d\), \(\mathbb{R}^{d}_{+}=(0,\infty)^d\), \(\mu_\alpha\) is the measure in \(\mathbb{R}^{d}_{+}\) with the density \(x_{1}^{2\alpha_1 +1}\cdot...\cdot x_{d}^{2\alpha_d +1}\) and \(|\cdot|\) is the Euclidean norm. Let \(\mathbb{B}\) be a Banach space and let \(K(x,y)\) be a kernel defined on \(\mathbb{R}^{d}_{+}\times \mathbb{R}^{d}_{+}\setminus \{(x,y):x=y\}\) and taking values in \(\mathbb{B}\). It is said that \(K(x,y)\) satisfies standard estimates in the sense of the space of homogeneous type \((\mathbb{R}^{d}_{+},\mu_\alpha,|\cdot|)\) if \[ \|K(x,y)\|_{\mathbb{B}}\lesssim \frac{1}{\mu_\alpha(B(x,|x-y|))}, \] \[ \|K(x,y)-K(x',y)\|_{\mathbb{B}}\lesssim \frac{|x-x'|}{|x-y|}\frac{1}{\mu_\alpha(B(x,|x-y|))},\;\;\; |x-y|>2|x-x'|, \] \[ \|K(x,y)-K(x,y')\|_{\mathbb{B}}\lesssim \frac{|y-y'|}{|x-y|}\frac{1}{\mu_\alpha(B(x,|x-y|))},\;\;\; |x-y|>2|y-y'|, \] where \(B(x,r)\) denotes a ball with a center \(x\) and a radius \(r\). In the paper a technique of proving standard estimates is developed, which works in all admissible type multi-indexes \(\alpha\in (-1,\infty)^d\). This generalizes a simpler method elaborated earlier by A. Novak and K. Stempak, but being valid only for the case \(\alpha\in [-1/2,\infty)^d\). As an application, it is proved that several fundamental operators in harmonic analysis of the Laguerre expansions, including maximal operators related to the heat and poisson semigroups, Riesz transforms, Littlewood-Paley-Stein type square functions and multiplies of Laplace and Laplace-Stieltjes transforms type, are (vector-valued) Calderón-Zygmund operators in the sense of the space of homogeneous type \((\mathbb{R}^{d}_{+},\mu_\alpha,|\cdot|)\).
