The author describes simple finitely generated associative conformal algebras of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension one. Let \(H=k[D]\) be the polynomial algebra with the ordinary derivation \(\partial_D\). Let \(U,V\) be \(H\)-modules. A continuous linear map \(a:H\to \Hom(U,V)\) is said to be a left conformal homomorphism from \(U\) to \(V\) if \[ [D,a(h)]=-a(\partial_D h),\quad h\in H. \] Let \(V\) be the free \(H\)-module of rank \(N\). Then \({\text{Cend}}_N\) is a conformal algebra that consists of all left conformal endomorphism of \(V\). To any matrix \(Q=Q(D)\in M_N(k[D])\) corresponds a conformal subalgebra of \({\text{Cend}}_N\) as follows \[ {\text{Cend}}_{N,Q}=\{a\in {\text{Cend}}_N\mid a(H)\subset M_N(W)Q\}, \] where \(W=k[D,\partial_D| \partial_D D-D\partial_D=1]\subset \operatorname{End} V\) is the Weyl algebra. It is known that the conformal algebras \({\text{Cend}}_{N,Q}\), where \(N\geq 1\), \(\det Q\neq 0\), are simple, finitely generated and have Gelfand-Kirillov dimension one. As a main result, the author proves that a finitely generated simple associative conformal algebra with Gelfand-Kirillov dimension one is isomorphic to an algebra of type \({\text{Cend}}_{N,Q}\), where \(N\geq 1\), \(\det Q\neq 0\).
