Let \(E\) and \(F\) be Banach spaces, \(L\:E\to F\) be a linear continuous operator and \(M\:E\to F\) be a linear, closed and densely defined operator. Suppose that \(M\) is strongly \((L,p)\)-sectorial and that its \(L\)-spectrum \(\sigma^L(M)\) does not intersect the imaginary axis. Take a closed contour \(\gamma\) in the right half-plane which bounds a domain containing \(\sigma_r^L(M)=\sigma^L(M)\cap\{\Re\mu>0\}\). Define a projector \(P_r=(2\pi i)^{-1}\int_{\gamma}(\mu L-M)^{-1}L\,d\mu\). Then there exists a projector \(P\in\mathcal L(E)\) such that \(P_rP=PP_r=P_r\) and denote \(P_l=P-P_r\). Take \(T\in R_+\), \(u_0,u_T\in E\) and consider the problem \(P_l(u(0)-u_0)=0\), \(P_r(u(T)-u_T)=0\) for a linear nonhomogeneous Sobolev type operator differential equation \(L\dot u=Mu+f\), where the vector-function \(f\:[0,T]\to F\) satisfies certain conditions. Continuing investigations from [Differ. Equ. 38, No.~2, 1745--1752 (2002; Zbl 1081.47046)], the author proves theorems on existence and uniqueness of solutions of the given problem. The solution is given in an explicit form. The results are illustrated by concrete examples. Methods of the theory of degenerate (semi)groups of operators are used.
