    The problem under consideration concerns the stabilizability of the origin by feedback for a nonlinear control system when a preassigned restriction on the derivatives of the feedback is assumed. This problem, called ``controllability with restricted inertial controls'', is studied by constructing a family of \(C^1\) smooth controllability functions. Results of the synthesis of inertial control are presented in two cases: -- linear control systems: \(x'= Ax+ Bu\), -- nonlinear systems: \(x'= Ax+ Bu+ g(x,u)\) (where \(g\) is Lipschitz and satisfies suitable growth conditions).
