Let \(M\) be a smooth manifold with a Finsler metric \(F\). A continuous curve \(c : [0,1] \rightarrow M\) is a closed geodesic if \(c\) is closed and is the shortest curve connecting any two points on the image of \(c\) which are close enough. A closed geodesic is prime if it is not a multiple covering of any other closed geodesic. The main result of the paper under review tells that for every \(Q\)-homological Finsler 3-sphere \((M,F)\) with a bumpy and irreversible metric \(F\), either there exist two non-hyperbolic prime closed geodesics, or there exist at least three prime closed geodesics.
