In this paper, so-called triplet extensions of symmetric operators are studied in the case of semibounded operators in the scale of Hilbert spaces. The paper has ten sections organized as follows. After an introduction in the topic, in the second section the author presents the main ideas of Birman-Krein-Vishik theory, which is more appropriate to generalize the classical extension theory of J.\,von~Neumann. In the third section, selfadjoint extensions in a triplet of Hilbert spaces are presented, and in the fourth one, the case of the scale of Hilbert spaces is analysed. Section five is dedicated to description of the introduced minimal and maximal operators. The one parameter selfadjoint family of triplet extensions is obtained in the sixth section as a restriction of the maximal operator, and in the seventh section an extended resolvent formula of Krein type is obtained. In the eighth section, a renormalization procedure is used to obtain some particular forms for \(Q\)-functions. In the ninth section, triplet extensions and supersingular perturbations are analysed, and in the last section, the obtained methods are applied to construct a new family of point intersections in \(\mathbb R^3\).
