The authors investigate when a stack can be recovered from its associated functor of isomorphism classes. More specifically, let \(P\) be a collection of objects in a category that is stable under isomorphisms. Such a collection is referred to as a property. If \(F\) is the assignment that sends a stack to its functor of isomorphism classes, then a property \(P\) is called isonatural if there is a property \(Q\) such that \(F^{-1}(Q)=P\). The question discussed in the article is which properties of stacks are isonatural. The main result is that many of the known moduli stacks are indeed isonatural.
