Supersmoothness properties of bivariate piecewise polynomial splines are studied in this article, in particular of Powell-Sabin elements, Clough-Tocher elements, Worsey-Farin elements and Worsey-Piper elements. These properties depend on the underlying geometry of the partition of the data set.
