This paper is an interesting addition to the area of linear isometric classification of Banach spaces, using bijections that preserve Birkhoff-James orthogonality (BJO). This is a continuation of the author's work from [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 505, No.~1, Article ID 125444, 12~p. (2022; Zbl 1486.46017)]. For smooth Banach spaces of dimension \(\geq 3\), it was shown that preservation implies isometry. At another level, acute angle preservation is considered (this means, the constant appearing in BJO is non-negative (the non-positive case was considered by \textit{D.~Sain} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 447, No.~2, 860--866 (2017; Zbl 1369.46017)]). It is shown that a preserver that is continuous will also preserve the acute angle in the forward direction.
