The so-called \(\delta\)-invariant, recently discovered by \textit{K. Fujita} and \textit{Y. Odaka} [Tohoku Math. J. (2) 70, No. 4, 511--521 (2018; Zbl 1422.14047)], is invented to give a new criterion for \(K\)-stability. The authors prove in this paper that the \(\delta\)-invariants of smooth cubic surfaces are at least \(\frac{6}{5}\).
