Two standard theorems about \(p\)-adic families of elliptic modular forms are generalised to Jacobi forms. The first is the construction by \textit{H. Hida} [Lond. Math. Soc. Lect. Note Ser. 215, 139--166 (1995; Zbl 0838.11031)] of \(p\)-adic families of modular forms of half-integral weight, and the second is a \(p\)-adic theta correspondence, lifting elliptic modular forms to Jacobi forms and thus doing for the Eichler-Zagier lifting what \textit{G. Stevens} [Contemp. Math. 174, 129--151 (1994; Zbl 0869.11042)] did for the Shintani lifting. \par The proof in the first part relies on unpublished results of \textit{L. Candelori} [``The transformation laws of algebraic theta functions'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1609:04486}] but only in the fairly simple case of one variable. A crucial reduction step comes from [\textit{M. Manickam} and \textit{B. Ramakrishnan}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 352, No. 6, 2601--2617 (2000; Zbl 0985.11020)].
