The paper deals with an abstract time-periodic boundary-value problem in a Banach space. By using a combination between the decomposition technique and the existence of suitable \(\mathcal{R}\)-solvers, the authors investigate the periodic maximal \(L_p\) regularity of solutions. As applications of the obtained results, they study the existence of time-periodic solutions for the \(N\)-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in a periodically moving bounded domain, and for the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in an exterior domain, supplemented with time-periodic forcing and boundary data.
