The Bézier representation for curves is a central tool in computer aided geometric design. In this paper, it is generalised to spherical representations for spheres in arbitrary dimensions by using geodesic distances. By this method, the standard tools such as control nets and spline representations become available. These so-called spherical splines are constructed to be twice continuously differentiable (and piecewise smooth). Examples are given to illustrate the authors' construction.
