Let \(K\) be a field and \(S=K[X_1,\ldots,X_n]\) be the polynomial ring in \(n\) variables over \(K.\) Let \(F=\mathop\oplus\limits_{i=1}^m Se_i\) be a finitely generated graded free \(S\)-module with basis \(e_1,\ldots,e_m\) such that all elements of the basis have the same degree. If \(M\) is a strongly stable submodule of \(F\) the author shows that there exists a finitely generated graded free \(S\)-module \(\tilde{F}\), with \(\mathrm{rk}(\tilde{F})\geq \mathrm{rk}(F)\) and a general strongly stable submodule \(\tilde{M}\) of \(\tilde{F}\), having the same extremal Betti numbers as \(M\) and the same positions of these Betti numbers. Nice examples are considered throughout the paper, as well as open problems.
