There is a vast literature on the set-theoretic solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. The so-called left non-degenerate involutive solutions are equivalent to cycle sets, i.e., sets \(X\) endowed with an operation ``\(\cdot\)'' satisfying \((x \cdot y) \cdot (x \cdot z) = (y\cdot x) \cdot (y \cdot z)\) for all \(x, y, z \in X\), and such that the maps \(\sigma(x) : y \mapsto x \cdot y\) on \(X\) are bijective for all \(x \in X\). The paper under review is concerned with cycle sets which are indecomposable, meaning that the group generated by the maps \(\sigma(x)\) acts transitively on \(X\). These cycle sets are completely classified in terms of the theory of coverings developed by the author in [J. Algebra 520, 136--170 (2019; Zbl 1450.16024)]. An important role in the treatment is provided by the related theory of braces [J. Algebra 307, No. 1, 153--170 (2007; Zbl 1115.16022)].
